Therearenotranslationsavailable.科技日报记者张盖伦6月1日，“决心”号岩芯实验室日历上的倒计时天数，已经变成了“10”。国际大洋发现计划（IODP）368航次第五站位的钻探工作正在进行。航次接近尾声，一切又重新变得顺利。但之前的半个月，可谓真正的“一波三折”。时间先回到5月25日。中午，时针已指向十二点，IODP368航次的科学家已经聚齐在了会议室，但一向准时的两位首席科学家和航次项目经理却没有出现。会议室里，气氛微妙，大家已经听闻了一些坏消息。五分钟后，三人进来了。他们步履匆匆，仍在讨论着什么。“我们遇到了真正的麻烦。”首席科学家汉斯·克里斯坦·拉尔森说，“刚换上的离合器配件又坏了。”大洋钻探船“决心”号靠着钻杆节节相连，实现深入海底的钻探。放下的钻杆越多，重量越重，操作钻杆所需的拉力越大。大约10天前，钻井平台传动装置离合器关键配件罢工，一旦下海的钻杆超过一定重量，钻井装置就无法工作。没关系，坏了还可以修。等待近一周后，20日晚，三个新离合器配件通过补给船运给“决心”号。大家以为就此柳暗花明。结果刚恢复工作不久，钻井平台绞车刹车就出了故障。于是，又等
