Post-doctoral Research Station of Geophysics
Affiliated with the School of Ocean and Earth Science, the Postdoctoral Research Station of Geophysics at Tongji University was established in 2005. It targets at five research directions which are: reflection seismology, integrated geophysics, ocean geophysics and geodynamics, reservoir geophysics and space physics, and houses several advanced laboratories including seismic imaging & modeling lab, rock physics lab, geomagnetic lab, seismic data processing and interpretation lab, Comprehensive Geophysical lab and earthquake lab. It has formed a distinctive feature in fields of seismic wave imaging and inversion, integrated geophysics, reservoir geophysics and petrophysics, and marine geophysics.

Post-doctoral Research Station of Marine Science
Affiliated with the School of Ocean and Earth Science, the Postdoctoral Research Station of Marine science at Tongji University was established in 1991. It targets at five research directions which are: marine geology, marine chemistry, bio-oceanography, physical oceanography and marine technology, and houses several advanced laboratories of gas stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry laboratory, electron microprobe analysis laboratory, organic geochemical analysis laboratory, Rock and Mineral Processing Laboratory, Submarine Observation Electromechanical Laboratory, etc. It has formed a distinctive feature in fields of deep sea fundamental research, western pacific geodynamics and paleoenvironmental evolution research, and in ocean drilling and sea floor observation.
