The School of Ocean and Earth Science and the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology at Tongji University invites applications for all rank positions in marine science and geophysics, with specialization in one or more of the following areas: marine geology, geophysics, marine chemistry, physical oceanography, marine biology, and marine technology. Preference will be given to candidates with an excellent record of research in scientific ocean drilling, seafloor observation, deep-sea intelligent unmanned systems, and deep oil and gas resources. Qualifications

1.    Distinguished Professor/Tenured Professor/ Tenured Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor

- Distinguished Professor applicants are expected to possess a record of original and internationally-recognized achievement in his/her field, and demonstrable outstanding academic leadership.

- Tenured Professor applicants are expected to hold positions as professors or researchers in universities or disciplines, or high-level talents with equivalent positions or levels in research institutions.

- Tenured Associate Professor applicants are expected to possess an outstanding record of original achievements in his/her field and great potential to top his/her field in the future.

- Assistant Professor applicants are expected to possess an outstanding record of original achievements in his/her field.

2.  Research Fellows / Associate Research Fellows / Assistant Research Fellows

- Research Fellow applicants are expected to possess work experience as associate researchers or above in universities or research institutions; experience in presiding over national research programs with a strong publication record.

- Associate Research Fellow applicants are expected to possess work experience as lecturers, assistant professors or above, or postdoctoral graduates in universities or research institutions; experience in presiding over national research programs with a strong publication record.

- Assistant Research Fellow applicants are expected to be competitive postdoctoral or doctoral graduates from universities or research institutions; participants in national research programs with an excellent publication record.

3.  Post-doctor

-The applicant should be under the age of 35 with a doctorate degree within three years (including fresh graduates).Individuals with good academic achievements are preferred.
