Marine Scholarship Students Zhejiang Exchange Activity Held

December 5 to 9, 2016, six international students who are Marine Scholarship of China owners at Tongji University took part in the second exchange activity held by State Oceanographic Administration (SOA) at Zhejiang University. The exchange activity mainly included meeting with leaders from SOA and Zhejiang University, tour to Second Institute of Oceanography of SOA and the West Lake, sports match, field trip around Zhoushan campus of Zhejiang University.
The Marine Scholarship of China is jointly initiated by the State Oceanic Administration (SOA) and the Ministry of Education of China (MOE) for the purpose of providing financial support to outstanding students from the coastal countries or regions around the South China Sea, the Pacific and the Indian Oceans and African developing countries to study in China for a master’s or doctoral degree in oceanography or other related specialties. Tongji University is among the 4 participating universities for this program, with 22 students have been enrolled so far.
