Appointment Ceremony held for Prof. Guo Taixian
On 18 April, 2014, the appointment ceremony for Guo Taixian serving as guest professor of Tongji University was held in the School of Ocean and Earth Science. Guo currently serves as deputy director and deputy Party secretary of Bohai Petroleum Administration of China National Offshore Oil Corp.(CNOOC), and also vice general manager and deputy Party secretary of CNOOC Co. Ltd.Tianjin Branch.
Ms. MA Jinming, deputy secretary of Party Committee of Tongji University presented the appointment certificate to Mr. Guo, and Prof. Geng Jianhua introduced research background and achievements Guo has made so far. Mr. Guo said that he felt honored to receive the guest professorship, and would work with Tongji with all sincere efforts to pursue further achievements in research works and talents cultivation.
After the ceremony, Prof. Guo also gave a presentation introducing the development of China’s offshore oil industry.
