Cooperation Framework Agreement Signed with Fujian Provincial Geological and Mineral Exploration Bureau
On December 12, 2013, a signing ceremony was jointly held by the School and Fujian Provincial Geological and Mineral Exploration Bureau for launching a strategic partnership between the two sides in talent cultivation and research projects. The ceremony, attended by Prof. Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of Party Committee at Tongji Universtiy and Mr. Tao Jianhua, chief engineer of the Bureau, was hosted by Party Secretary of the School Prof. Geng Jianhua. Relevant principals from the University’s Institute for Science and Technology Research, Graduate School, and also representatives from the Bureau also joined in the ceremony.
Mr. Tao Jianhua, Prof. Jian Zhimin, dean of the School and Prof. Yu Peng, vice dean of the School exchanged basic information of the two institutes regarding recent developments, research works and projects as well as talent cultivation. With the cooperation framework agreement signed as a starting point, the two sides would seek more opportunities for resource and information sharing in marine geological researches and oil gas exploration.
After the ceremony, the delegation also visited our ocean science museum and relevant labs of the State Key Laboratory.
