Lecture by Dr. Julien Bouchez from CNRS-IPGP Successfully Held

In the afternoon of Dec. 6, 2013, Dr. Julien Bouchez from Paris Institute of Geophysics, France (Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris, or CNRS-IPGP) was invited by Prof. Yang Shouye for a visit to the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology and gave a lecture titling Large river sediment geochemistry: in-depth knowledge from depth-profiles of large river sediment.
In his lecture, Dr. Bouchez mainly introduced their research group’s latest findings in geochemistry of river sediments and chemical weathering in the Amazon River and Ganges River, with group member also includes famous geochemist Prof. Jerome Gaillardet. Their innovative and unique ideas as well as fruitful academic achievements have attracted international spotlights, with a series of research paper published in frontier earth science journals such as Geology, EPSL, GCA, Chemical Geology, etc.
