Two Lectures by Prof. Cin-Ty Lee from U.S. Rice University
On Dec. 5, 2013, Prof. Cin-Ty Lee from U.S. Rice University visited the School of Ocean and Earth Science and the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology for academic exchanges. Prof. Lee, accompanied by Prof. Weidong Sun from Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave two wonderful lectures to our teachers and students: Continent formation, World War II, and Long-term climate, as well as How to be a Successful PhD Student, which aroused great interests and responses among the audience.
Dr. Cin-Ty Lee currently serves as professor of Rice University. His major research areas are in geochemistry and structural geology. Prof. Lee was awarded Clarke Medal for the year 2013, a most prestigious honor for international geochemists.
