 Regulations and Guidelines for 2013-2014 Independent and Open Fund Project Launched

The State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology (the Laboratory) has carried out a series of reforms and innovations in the management of its Independent Fund Project and Open Fund Project based on the working conference of the Laboratory’s employed staffs held in September, 2013. Follow-ups and other managing works will be enhanced during the projects’ implementation. Regulations for the Independent Fund Project and Open Fund Project and their 2013-2014 application guidelines have been released, and researches and collaborations are expected to search into the five main research areas of the Laboratory (Paleoceanography and Paleoenvironment, Continental Margin Evolution and Marine Sedimentation, Submarine Resources, Deep Sea Biogeochemistry, Seafloor Process and Observation).      

The Independent Fund Project has five categories, which are Key Project, Exploratory Project, General Project, Youth Project, Tech R&D Project. Team building, interdisciplinary cooperation and technology innovation shall be encouraged and funding expanded for further stimulating research outputs and intensifying exchanges.   

Application deadline for Independent Fund Project: Oct. 20th, 2013.
