Participants of the meeting also had an intensive discussion on the annual assessment of our full-time teachers. Full-time teachers are the core strength for our disciplinary development, and a reasonable and effective assessing system will definitely stimulate the growth of our school and our young teachers. The managing rules and regulations for the school’s post-doctoral research station were also discussed, and preparatory work for the coming education assessment on undergraduate programs as well as the enrollment for graduate programs were also presented in the meeting.

This Joint Committee Meeting is the first one held this year. Since the joint committee system, a decision-making mechanism took into effect in June, 2012, it has been playing a leading role in the improvement of awareness of school leaders and administrative staffs to provide better managerial services, and has helped the leadership win “excellent team” prize in the university’s 2012 annual assessment. In this year, the Committee will continue to improve its working manner, to gather strength and collect wisdom by linking school faculty members more closely, to enhance communication and improve efficiency, so as to create a good working atmosphere for the school’s disciplinary development.
