Delegation from Key Laboratory of Marine Chemistry Theory and Technology Visited
On Dec 5th 2012, a delegation of six from Key Laboratory of Marine Chemistry Theory and Technology, Ministry of Education, Ocean Univ. of China paid a visit to our school and our State Key Laboratory. The delegation, which included Party Chief Prof. Weidong Wang, Vice Director Prof. Mutai Bao, Office Secretary Jingjing Yu, laboratory technicians Huimin Jian and Guoling Zhang, had a meeting with representatives from our school, who were Party Chief Prof. Jianhua Geng, Vice director of the State Key Laboratory Prof. Shouye Yang and some young scholars of marine chemistry.
In the meeting, Party Chief Jianhua Geng first gave a warm welcome to the delegation, and introduced the overall developments of the school and the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology. Vice Director Shouye Yang gave an introduction of the school and Laboratory’s research features, discipline construction and talent cultivation, emphasizing on the management system as well as the equipment operation rules of our Laboratory.
According to Prof. Weidong Wang, it was a great pleasure to visit the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology of Tongji, and he gave a brief statement of their intentions for this visit. Prof. Mutai Bao gave a detailed introduction of their lab’s operation and management, the construction of their technician and talent teams, as well as their equipment management. Both sides had a further discussion on issues of interests, such as how to improve management efficiency, the assessment mechanism for their professors and technicians, the construction of an instrument sharing platform.
After the meeting, the delegation paid a visit to our school’s Science Museum Undersea as well as the State Key Laboratory.
