 Exchanging Meeting with Delegation from Xiamen Univ. on The School’s Administrative Work was Held

On Dec 4^th 2012, an exchanging meeting on the school’s administrative work was held in the school’s Ocean Building. The meeting specially invited a delegation of associates from School of Ocean and Earth of Xiamen Univ., including Party Chief Liwu Wu, Director of Administrative Office Lidan Chen to attend and share views, who were warmly received by representatives from our school including Party Chief Jianhua Geng, Dean Zhimin Jian, Vice Director of the State Key Laboratory Shouye Yang, Vice Party Chief Mei Lin, Director of Administrative Office Dongxia Zhu and some other administrative staffs.      

Dean Zhimin Jian first presented a welcome speech to the delegation, and introduced recent developments of the school and the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology in platform construction, scientific research, international exchange and other fields. Party Chief Jianhua Geng gave a targeted introduction of the school’s personnel and talent construction. Party Chief Liwu Wu from School of Ocean and Earth of Xiamen Univ. introduced features of administrative work in their school, and gave detailed explication of their efforts and promotion in personnel, scientific research and team building. Members of both sides also have a heated discussion on issues such as talent recruitment, discipline development, future operative mechanism of their schools and laboratories.       

After the meeting, souvenirs were presented by Dean Zhimin Jian to the delegation from Xiamen Univ., who visited our school’s Science Museum Undersea as well as the State Key Laboratory.
